If you lived in India, you would know about the Taj Mahal because it’s the biggest tourist attraction in India. 20 out of 20 people would say that the Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful landmarks in the world. It is the burial ground of Shah Jahan’s wife, Mumtaz and of the king himself. Jahan’s wife died when the couple had their fourteenth child. In Agra, architects started the construction of the Taj Mahal for Mumtaz’s burial. It was finished in 1648, with the gardens and surrounding buildings finished 5 years later. The design was based on Hindu and Persian culture. This complex is surrounded by a beautiful brick wall and masterful gate. This enormous building is one of the most outsanding in the world.
